CALSTART and the California Air Resources Board (CARB) hosted a dynamic Zero-Emissions Showcase + Ride & Drive on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, CA.

Event Information

This free event offered a comprehensive showcase of the latest in zero-emissions technologies, including 19 heavy-duty trucks, 24 medium-duty trucks, 13 off-road machinery/equipment models, and even an ice cream truck!

Attendees test drove zero-emissions vehicles on two dedicated tracks and explored vehicle displays from Battle Motors, BYD, Ford, Volvo, Nikola, Rivian, and many more. At the resource fair held at the event, CARB was on hand to engage fleets and answer questions about heavy-duty regulations. Also, 20 industry partners, including PG&E, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, and California Mobility Center, held meaningful discussions about zero-emissions fleet solutions with attendees.

The event’s commitment to sustainability extended to power sources, with all energy needs, including registration, audio/video equipment, restroom facilities, and food vending, being completely emissions-free!

This successful Showcase + Ride & Drive highlights the growing momentum for zero-emissions transportation in California, and CALSTART and CARB continue to engage with industry leaders to promote the vital initiatives for clean vehicles and equipment across the state.
